Syrian security forces have arrested several Palestinians suspects in connection with the assassination of Hizbullah commander Imad Mughniyeh, a Lebanese security source told Reuters on Friday.
The source added that Hizbullah had appointed a successor to Mughniyeh within hours of his death in a car bomb blast in the Syrian capital.
Sorry : I am still confused.
No, but maybe non-Arab terrorists; eg Iranians, Pakistanis, Chechens etc etc.
Or it's just like in that great movie Casablanca. They are rounding up the usual suspects. (Thanks for the pict.)
I hear you. Imagine putting the disastrous Brzezinski back in charge. Shades of Jimmah.

Israel kills terror chief with headrest bomb
Note that the Sunday Times is known for its free fantasies when it comes to stories from the Middle East. Not very factual on the "deed" except noting the car brand - which I've seen mentioned somewhere else. However, if it is true that the security conscious Mughniyeh was using an easily recognizable car like the silver Mitsubishi Pajero the security breach was right there.
Not serious about foreign policy either
An interesting note form the link....
A Google News search on "Brzezinski Damascus" reveals again today that the Obama/Clinton delegation to Syria remains a deep secret confined to readers of the New York Sun, Power Line, and Martin Peretz.
See this post here . It appears from the photos that it is likely the bomb was in the rear of the car.
But seriously, now when it is in the open, where is the outrage, where are the questions to Ms Clinton and Barak Obama? I certainly hope that McCain is preparing some fireworks. These visits, the day before it is made quite clear that Syria is harbouring a person who has murdered scores of US citizens....well, there need to be some kind of explanations.
And, no, I do not buy the inane notion that Mughniyeh was killed by Assad as some kind of gift towards the US.
Excellent! I claim no related expertise but it certainly appears to me that jeffers has nailed it. I kept looking at that same photo as I saw it on another thread and could not see any plausibility for a headrest explosion but I thought I might be missing something until I read the witness statement about the head being burned but intact — this certainly seems to have been a much bigger explosion in the back of the car, not what would have exploded from the headrest but merely burned the face/head...... but what do I know?
What? Zbigniew Brzezinski... actually do something to help the security of the United States?
You must be speaking... of a different Zbigniew Brzezinski. That sumbitch in Syria talking up Obama was once Jimhhy Carter's National Security stooge and you know well how that turned out!
Hey, you don’t really believe that the Syrian police will arrest the real perpetrators. However, they will arrest the “likely suspects” and I think Z B, being a US citizen falls under that category.
:-)
Thanks ScaniaBoy.
