The GOP brought this on themselves since 2000. They have slowly and surely whittled away at the Conservative fiber of the party until they created a full scale rebellion from within the very foundation itself.

Now they decide that there is suddenly a problem? We have been pleading with them since ‘94 to get a pair for a change. Instead, we got Trent Lott, Newt, Graham Bob Dole and other spineless wieners.

The Florida GOP has bought a clue and is working on a plan to defend Republican House seats, but I understand the FL Dem party is identifying vulnerable seats they hope to take away, and they have enthusiam and a bigger war chest to their advantage.

I still don’t see any evidence that the national GOP has figured anything out. They’ve convinced themselves that the evil specter of Hillobama is enough to frighten conservatives into backing McCain, but I don’t think the fearmongering is going to work this time. Over the long run, you have to win elections by being for something. Being not quite as bad as the other guys isn’t enough, especially when 49% of the electorate think the other guys are just fine.
