Tel Aviv - Israel considers dead two Israeli soldiers kidnapped by the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, German political magazine Der Spiegel reported on Saturday. According to the magazine, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was planning to publicly declare the two reservists dead.
Government spokesman Mark Regev declined to comment on the issue.
Israeli newspapers have been publishing similar information over the past months.
Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were kidnapped by the Hezbollah on July 12, 2006 ahead of Israel's war with Lebanon.
Olmert had declared the soldiers' return the aim of the summer 2006 war. However, there has not been a sign of life from them so far.
According to Der Spiegel, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has refused in secret negotiations to give information on the soldiers as long as Israel refused to release Lebanese terrorist Samir Kuntar from prison.
I declare olmert dead in the head.
Thousands and thousands of murderers were released over and over.
Did Olmert ever even demand back those taken?
No thanks to that hapless idiot Olmert.
Israel should just start carpet bombing all the f’n muzzie arabs.....and just state STFU to the rest of the world!!!!!
Olmert trembles in fear of the dreaded ‘Condi-Gram’.
Israel intelligence should kidnap a high ranking Hezzy official and fed-ex his head to the Syrian leader.
Probably just got the word from Nasrallah...
If you want to see the ugly crimes that Samir Kuntar was convicted of perpetrating (if you have the stomach), see this page. It will give you an idea of the kind of human filth that Nasrallah and Hezbollah celebrate as their heroes. It will also give you an idea why "peace" with these animals is not possible. And, it will also give you an idea of what kinds of atrocities we can expect in coming months if their latest boast of 'open war' in response to the well-deserved death of Mughniyeh is fulfilled.
