There was at least one attendee, however, who testified in support of the project. Tommy Ellison, CEO of Commercial Bank of Texas, said he was sympathetic to landowners, but said the area would benefit from improved transportation provided by the corridor.

Bravo Sierra!

That closed corridor will flush the revenue that now is derived from travelers & truckers who stop off to shop, eat, etc. -- straight through and past rural and small-town Texas -- and what little revenue is deposited will go to in-corridor concessionaires.

And that does not take into consideration the massive amount of land that will be removed from county tax rolls.

The TTC will produce net negative revenue in most of Texas outside the metroplexes.

“Tommy Ellison, CEO of Commercial Bank of Texas”

This one voice will be counted a million times. This is what TXDOT counts on. Get the Chamber of Commerce behind it and the idea will fly.

“Economic Development” is equal to the “Race Card.” Once played, all civil arguments are out the window.
