LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Bai Ling's good looks and eccentric outfits have frequently put her picture in celebrity magazines, but that doesn't mean she can take the magazines for free.
Bai Ling, seen here in a booking photo, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport.
The Chinese actress was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of shoplifting two celebrity magazines and two packets of batteries at Los Angeles International Airport. The items had a total value of $16, said Sgt. Jim Holcomb of the airport's police department.

I can see why a lot of actresses are nervous breakdowns or serious neuroses. To start with, they are totally expendable and Hollywood is always looking for an excuse to ditch them.
Training, talent, looks, brains, nothing matters in Hollywood but luck, if other people have any say in your career. It used to be that starving actors felt so downtrodden that they became communists. Today they join cults, or otherwise hope against hope that somehow, someway, they will have acceptance based on something, anything more than their last movie or TV show, last week.
On top of everything else, Hollywood is loaded with awful advice on how to achieve what they want, often involving self mutilation. I am still angry with the imbecile who told the beautiful, talented Jennifer Grey to get a nose job that transformed her from a memorable actress, to just another nobody. She is no longer top talent, just another expendable actress.
The really neurotic have to be told continually how beautiful they are to keep their huge, but fragile, egos from collapsing. They suspect, with good cause, that the only asset they really have is their appearance, and once that isn’t special, they are nothing. It is the lucky actor that has a minor imperfection that makes them stand out, and makes them sell themselves in other ways.
The best career comparison to actors are prostitutes, who face many of the same dilemmas.
She should have stolen some clothes, she is the worse dresser ever.
I’m leaning towards Not Guilty, but I will need MUCH more evidence.
Who dat?
There ya go, Bai Ling playing Bai Ling.
Chi Chi Rodriguez.
Apparently, she and Brandon Lee became good friends on the set and she was devestated by his death.
God bless women who go the extra mile and always look their best without revealing their secrets :-)
She’s pretty creepy in it... Pretty creepy out of it, too.
