“...I’d say McCain’s thinking he can get us to change our minds and support him on amnesty too....”

I see your point....

What are your possibilities? 4 years of Hillary or Obama or 8 years or more + 4

The same way the media will be behind them this time around, the media will be behind them in 4 years from now than what?

It's impossible to judge how many years either of them would be in office. I never would have thought they'd elect Bubba to a second term, but they did.

I'm afraid that if McCain gets in the White House, he plans on gradually re-introducing his previously proposed immigration changes. You know, start out slow, and then progressively move toward total amnesty of some type. And of course, Hillary or Obama would likely try the same thing. It's hard for me to believe that as the co-author of a Bill that promoted amnesty, that McCain would totally turn his back on it if he was elected. Afterall, Hillary tried her national health care crap back in the early 90's and never got over its defeat. She's kept it sitting on the burner all this time, just waiting for the opportunity to shove it down our throats again.

Honestly, I don't think McCain has the temperament to graciously give up his plans for amnesty. His bad treatment of, and caustic behavior toward many of his fellow Senators who have disagreed with him on various issues, tells me he's a very arrogant individual...the type of person who the more you tell him not to do something, he does it anyway, or does things out of spite.
