but vote, definitely vote, don’t sit it out

and, no matter how you vote for potus

get out there now

and start working harder than ever before

to register the unregistered

and actively get behind and get working for who you want the most to represent you in congress

give whoever is elected potus the best LEGISLATIVE opposition to liberal thinking that our active election activities can produce, whether those policies come from a mcpain or a clinton/obama POTUS

Instead of wasting time voting for one Socialist over another why not cut to the chase and vote for a Conservative? It astounds me how people are so desperate they actually out smart themselves!

Eventually bullcrap like this will die down.

It has to. The prospect of a President Obama is just too horrifying.

NO NO NO NO, I just say no to voting for McWhacked.

You liberal RINO kool-aid drinkers trying to convince we conservatives on FR to vote for a Liberal are getting a little annoying.

Give it a rest.

I probably will in the long run, but only if he totally disavows George Soros. To quote e.e. cummings, “[t]here is some sh*t I will not eat”.

Calm down,...oops, sorry!

I agree, but I got about 3 more months of saying I’ll never vote for McCain ever, before I come around.

What’s the rush? Blow off some steam!

Let him lay out some conservative platitudes, make him promise to build a fence 100 more times, have him pick a veep with some conservative bona fides.

Let the ancient mariner come to us.

There’s going to come a time when conservatives will need jam it to the GOP; jam ‘em so hard they’ll have to take off their hats to take a crap. But this isn’t that time.

I will certainly be praying about how to vote between now and Nov. And particularly the week before the vote.

However,

it not only goes against my craw but my spirit to support in any way

such a

duplicitous, globalist, angry, traitorous, vengeful, spiteful, retaliatory, corrupted . . . elitist . . . literally in league with satan and satan’s globalist goons.

I wish I could say it more emphatically and more plainly.

Scripture is very clear about having nothing to do with an angry man.

And that’s just one of his very serious flaws.

Certainly we must do what we can to defeat him NOW.

For almost eight years I’ve had people telling me I would vote for McCain when the time comes, and I’ll admit that there were a few times in the past when I thought maybe, just maybe, but McCain went and pulled another act of treachery, over and over again. The past eight years has been one long progression of McCain betraying his own party. Besides, liberal Republicans have been spouting for years that McCain can win without the conservative base, that he will build a coalition of moderates, independents and crossover Democrats. I wouldn’t want to do anything that might interfere with McCain’s populist efforts, like voting for him.

I’ve been on several threads like this. Here’s my take: We all want a conservative to be elected president. Is it possible to quantify conservatism, on a scale of 1 to 10? I would say that a pure, perfect conservative is a 10, like Reagan or maybe Goldwater. Newt, Cheney, Fred—maybe 8’s or 9’s, depending on which conservative ideals one views as most important. Hillary is a 1, although she tries to make believe she is a 2 or a 3. Obama is a big fat zero—the most liberal senator of all.

The big question becomes—what number is McCain? I’d say he’s a 4 or a 5. It’s easy to complain about him because he’s not an 8 or a 9. He’s not my idea of a conservative by any means. But, he is more conservative than Hillary and Obama.

So, let’s stop with the semantics. 1—He’s not a conservative. Not much argument there. 2—He’s more conservative than Hillary or Obama. You can argue that they’re all liberals, but it would be disingenuous to postulate that McCain is as liberal as the democrats.

Beyond that, it’s a personal decision. If you can stomach voting for someone who is not a conservative, but is demonstrably more conservative than his opponent, then go ahead and vote for McCain. If you understand that McCain is more conservative than his opponent, but not nearly conservative enough to suit you, then don’t vote for him.

Voting for him does not violate some sacred law of conservatism. It merely is a pragmatic approach, choosing the most conservative person left standing. The name-calling, personal insults and the like are really not very productive.
