I'm up and getting ready for some action. I'm hoping that after Bobby's 6th place finish Thursday, and his practice speeds, that he can put the 43 in Winner's Circle. Crazier things have happened at Daytona.

In all fairness of racing and racing legends because its this race the Superbowl so to speak I honestly hope it comes down to good old honest racing with Mark Martin getting the checkered flag. he came all too close to it last year, as for Dale Jarret I think he will be at least in the top ten but I have a feeling he will have problems early in the race, speaking of I think there will be a big one but it will be the front pack that gets into into it.
My personal pick is Tony Stewart and the bad boy I think will be Michael Waltrip. this is going to be a pretty good race with the COTs, the tire problems, team blocking and pit strategy, I am recording it and will be seeing it about an hour or two after the start so I can be delayed just long enough to skip all the commercials. I really love that Dishnetwork PVR.

Wonder if Mario’s grandson will try and win the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500 like his grandpa.

Toyota has 15 more HP than Hendrick and 30 more than RCR according to the dynos after the Duels.
Is that a JGR thing or is that all Toyotas? Like I said earlier, while Waltrip and Davis have some good people, JGR has the organization needed to win with any manufacturer.

All of them, with Nascars blessing.
We’ll see today if the odds are now in their favor. If they lock up together and get a run, the Chevy’s may be in trouble.

I was wondering which format will HD broadcast will it be in 720 or 1080i? I don't know about TNT's portion, but both the Fox and the Mouse (ESPN/ABC) do 720p off the production truck. Since most TVs are 720p (yes, they change incoming 1080i signals to 720p), this is good.
Complicating things is what your cable/satellite company sends it out as. For example, Time Warner sends it out at 1080i, so if I use the cable box (an issue only for the ESPN races), it's converted twice.

JGR must be building the engines then ;-)
Well see today if the odds are now in their favor. If they lock up together and get a run, the Chevys may be in trouble.
I fully expect the Hendrick train to shove on through. If they move in lockstep, they'll be near unbeatable. I just hope for Junior's sake that Hendrick doesn't allow Junior's team to cheat like Johnson's. I'd rather see Junior not make the chase than to be caught like Jimmie and Chad last year.

I’m expecting Wendi’s buttons to pop real-soon-now. That would be something on 1080!!
