In Tony’s post-race interview when he was asked if he was disappointed he said something like,”yeah, it’s a safe bet that when you take the white flag (in the lead) and you end the race in third you’re going to feel disappointed”. He stopped short of saying “duh” there at the end but I guess that would have sounded a little too sarcastic...

This is good. I love seeing drivers win who have never not won in a long time or never. The Rocket Man....how cool is that?
Last year I was screaming at the TV for Mark Martin.....don't get me wrong, cool that Harvick won, too.

I agree. I think several things would be different. He (Dale, Sr.) had such an influence on this sport. (Sigh.)

I was telling someone, WCG I think, that on race week here I see a lot of haulers going up I-15 on the way home from work....
I don't care who the team is....on the horn...fist pumping in the air...and they always respond.

Can't say that I remember that at all.
Considering they made a point of pointing that out ahead of time, it seems odd that the network didn't pan down pit road at the time?

Stewart, who had promised the media the opportunity to snip locks of his shaggy hair if he won the race, wound up finishing third in his No. 20 Toyota after leading with one to go.
``I thought we were going to have a fun haircutting party here with you guys,’’ Stewart said. ``It’s just hard to explain. It’s one of the most disappointing moments in my race career. But I just want to take a second and congratulate Ryan Newman, a fellow Indiana boy. I’m happy for Ryan. He’s a great guy and a good friend and he deserved it.’’
