"We really can't afford John McCain as the nominee of our party."

There was no chance of getting another nominee at this point. Different situation when he still had a chance of beating him. The primary is really over now.

But did you see how feeble and old and sick McCain looked at the podium? It sure looked nice to see someone as uber-vibrant as Romney standing next to him. If Romney's part of the ticket, doesn't that help you a little? Four years of McCain and maybe 8 years of Romney, who still has to hold to his conservative stance he ran on??

I don't know, but McCain-Romney (if that happens) helps me deal with supporting the Republican over the Democrat.

Yeah, McCain-Romney. Now there’s a ticket we can all get behind.

Let’s see...

We already have McCain working closely with Kennedy et al:

McCain-Feingold
McCain-Kennedy
McCain-Lieberman

Giving us:

The Incumbency Protection Act
Amnesty
Global Warming
The Gang of 14

Now we can add Romney working closely with Kennedy et al:

Giving us:

RomneyCare
Planned Parenthood health commission
$50 govt subsidized and funded abortions
Gay marriage
Gays in military

Can’t wait to campaign for the NEW Republican platform.

I am thrilled.
