Whether we like it or not, mighty nations like Russia and China have a need to flex their muscles. How else will the world notice their presence?
It’d be a hoot if we could sneak in a flight of B-2’s overhead.
So, in all fairness, what’s wrong with a country showing a little national pride? We have air shows with the Blue Angels. You see nothing but WWII stuff on the history channel all day long. I think Hitler gets more air time on that channel than the President of the United States.
We still need to work with Russia because we are not an empire. If you are worried about Russian military take a look at how many American troops and bases there are around the world and compare that to Russian troops and bases around the world. We use the military for foreign policy more than anyone.
