Huck was just as state-socialist as Romney, just on different issues. He pardoned dangerous felons, and he coddled illegal aliens because of Tyson. I will not call them liberal, it is a perversion of the term.
Romney was gay-friendly and an abortion enabler. Republicans haven’t been depressed this election cycle because of the death of conservatism, but because of the dearth of the right people in the right position to carry the ideas forward.

Oh please. These two have at least stuck to their principles. Many others have chosen “win at all costs” over principle. Now who would I respect the most?

I say this as one who doesn’t do talk radio, or even much talk teevee. I do respect these two for sticking to their guns. McCain is a stinker of a candidate for conservatives, and I join Rush and Sean in refusing to admire the emperor’s new clothes.

Rush and especially Hannity have some problems (Hannity kneepadding for lib Giuliani comes to mind). But couching a criticism of Rush in biblical terms while trying to elevate Huckabee as some paragon of truth and righteousness is nauseating.

Huck has been caught in more than a few whoppers already.

Hyperbole like this makes evangelicals look like a bunch of nutjobs in a lot of people’s eyes...

gee, ya think?

How about the FR threads declaring Laura Bush a "Satanist" because she encouraged reading the Harry Potter books as part of her literacy promotional work?

Or consider any of the dozens of FR threads regarding homelessness, HIV or predatory lending which essentially declare that JESUS is punishing wicked welfare scammers for their sins with His own Sword of Righteousness(tm)...

Since the conservative movement is D-E-D dead with absolutely no ideas, no heart and no enthusiasm, here at FreeRepublic we usualy just substitue pious self-righteousness, indignation, high dudgeon and JESUSJESUSJESUS for all of the above...

Are you so silly you actually think their ratings will fall with a liberal in the White House. It hasn’t happened since Clinton entered the place. Their ratings have remained high with “W” the liberal in Republican drag has stabbed the conservatives of America.
These conservatives voices in American aren’t going to be silenced even with power seeking jerks spewing non-sense from the pulpit.
Nixon told us that the two easiest groups of people to influence were, in the number two slot, ministers, the number one spot went to ministers seeking power.

This guy is about as wrong as he can be.

Instead of quoting scripture, maybe he could try to take apart and/or explain why Rush’s criticism of Huck is wrong.

He can’t do that.

Besides, Rush has not attacked Huckabee’s faith claims. Rush, like me, respects that aspect of Huckabee’s life.

But politically speaking, Huck engages in class warfare and attacks the capitalists who make our economy work. (If you want a biblical illustration, try Matthew 20:1-16—the griping laborers. ha ha) Huckabees’ attacks on the rich are ridiculous.

“This lack of interest in this election they are fueling is going to have huge results, not only for the presidency, but for all offices from National right down to state, county and city races.”

And the blame for that is with national and state parties who frontloaded the primaries in blue states, allowed most of them in red states to be open, and made a lot of them winner take all. That was a recipe for McCain to win, and the party will suffer for its stupidity. After the coming debacle (and it’s coming whether we Freepers vote for McCain or not) maybe party insiders will buy a flippin’ clue and change the primary system.

If it was Hillary vs. a conservative, the conservative talking heads would be skewering her right now. But it’s not, it’s one Soros-funded liberal with a “D” vs. another Soros-funded liberal with an “R.” On several very important issues, including the grandaddy of them all, repect for the Constitution, McCain is as liberal as it gets, and those of us who have deeply held conservative beliefs are not going to pee them all away for the likes of John McCain.

you missed the lie in the first statement - the word “conservative” applied to Huckabee.

This is pathetic. This is a pseudo-spiritual ad-hominem attack on Rush because the man doesn’t agree with his Political analysis of Huckabee.

Rush and Sean did not attack Mike Huckabee spiritually.

Pastor Bob is unable to differentiate between political and moral criticism.

I am embarrassed at this tirade and that is all it is. And he doesn’t have any more right to his opinion than Rush or Sean or the others...so they are no more guilty of a fault than is he, except that they are CORRECT about some of the liberal positions of Mike Huckabee, and I also know that whether a candidate is a Christian or not is not a criteria for public office and that Rush and Sean have a Right to their opinions.
I have seen from the beginning that Huckabee subtly used his Christianity for his own purposes in this campaign. I think that is shameful.
Now all of these are opinion. God is the Righteous Judge.
If Mike Huckabee has done some liberal governing in his past, it will be in the record, which it is, and that is what Rush was addressing.
Period.

From the Article: “There was a time when one could turn the dial to Rush Limbaugh and/or Sean Hannity and expect to hear the truth.”

Baa-baa! Think for yourself you sheep. There’s only one source of “truth” in this life and it ain’t talk radio hosts.

We are not electing a Bishop, Pope, Head Reverend, Imam or any other spiritual leader. We are electing a President.

Huckabee can go pound sand.

You are missing the point of what Rush and Sean do every day. Neither one wants “ blind followers” - they want thinking folk to consider the points they raise as a counter to the MSM. And then MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND.

OTOH, it’s the pastors who want uncritical followers to just do as they are told.

“..the fact that Limbaugh, Hanity and Coulter have decided to throw the USA under the bus in order to teach the moderates in the Republican Party a lesson is beyond belief.”

Boy do you have it wrong. None of those listed could MAKE me vote for McCain. Liberals in the republican party have forced themselves on me once too many times. People like you said, Who is are they going to vote for? They’ll come around again, just like they always do...

Not this time, you gambled and you lost. It’s not my fault republicans will lose in a landslide. It’s yours for trying to cram an 80,000 year old liberal senator down my throat that has enjoyed running to the nearest camera and stopping Conservatives while promoting amnesty.

Now lets see if you have the votes to win, know that you’ve alienated all the conservatives. You made your bed, you lie in it.
