Sounds to me like some will not vote for anyone who doesnt fit their bill 100 percent. Even though that candidate in all probability won’t win the general ! Or even make it in the primary !

There are a lot of unconvincing paid shills running around here, IMO.

They might as well look for new employment and accomplish something productive:

There were about 6 or 7 candidates I would have voted for in the GOP and 3 I would not: Paul, Rudy and McCain. One for being anti war, 2 for spending their careers fighting conservativism.

Tough luck.

I was going to boycott the November elections until I saw the Obama hysteria....young people kneeling at his feet and weeping, like it’s a religious experience. This guy is getting scary, like cult leader scary. I’m voting for McCain.

Doom and gloom, doom and gloom. You people are nothing but a bunch of whiners. This country will be the only Super power for decades to come and the influx of immigrants will revitalize both our country and the party.

If you dislike America so much, then get out. Your protestations aside, this is not a communist country that forbids its citizens from emigrating. Maybe you would find some xenophobic country like Russia more to your liking.

They're doing a lousy job of revitalizing either one so far. If I owned a huge business and hired a group of people to work in one department, and they ruined it, I wouldn't hire them to work in the other departments.

Well, California's one department in the great nation we call America. A whole bunch of the people you say will revitalize America and the GOP have flooded in there, and they've wrecked the place and reduced the GOP to permanent minority status. Got any examples of your type of immigrants raising standards anywhere or boosting the GOP?

Why should I leave? I'm an American citizen and for all I know you're an illegal alien. You're certainly not a patriotic American, even if you are one technically.

America - Love it or Leave it

ROTFL! That reminds me of your hilarious attempt to have everyone purged who votes for a Democrat over McCain. That was the funniest thread in months! Why don't you try it again?

...I don’t think the anti-McCain Freepers understand how woefully unpersuasive THEY are.. After spending many hours here on FR reading these posts, I can't see where you think we are UNPERSUASIVE ....Seems to me you have failed to PERSUADE anyone to vote for McCain. You need to understand that we are firm in our beliefs and are not going to vote for someone who is tottaly underserving, regardless of what you think. I held my nose for Dole and Bush and am sorry I did, expecially in the case of GW. I recently found out that he is SECRETLY pushing thru a 1.45 billion bill to build a fence on the southern border of Mexico to keep out illegal south Americans from entering Mexico. Gee, why couldn't he have built one here? This is what RINO's do. And you want me to trust McCain? No way.

“Maybe we will just have to win over even more of the center and cut the right out of the GOP entirely. A public disassociation of the extremists, particularly the anti-immigrant jihadis, will the best course of action.
You people are right. The GOP has learned its lesson from 2006: the party cannot count on the votes of the fringe so we will have to forge a new coalition - the McCain coalition.”

Interesting...The winning Reagan coalition was positioned to the right of center, more so to the right, and avoided the extremism of the far right (such as abolish the IRS, or the Dept of Education, etc)...The McCain coalition is more center left than center right, and McCain dislikes conservatives and abhors the far right...

But to many of us he is too far to the left of center for us to be comfortable with...Worse, he was nearly a turncoat to his party when he explored joining the Dems to be Kerry’s running mate...Imagine, patriot McCain running with
anti-Viet vet Kerry ?...what was he thinking ?? He needs to move to the center and more to the right and make up with the conservatives who form a large base of the Rep party...again- how is he thinking ?

They actually want us to be happy about it. Or at least just shut up and bend over nicely for it. It’s interesting that if you complain about it they react in the same red faced, spittle flecked manner the CCP does to protests in China. Or Tibet.

Because they are all on the same side, globalism. It all boils down to the United Nations intention to rule over nations through continental proxies. Those proxies will be glad to listen to a central authority. What do they have to lose, by coordinating their efforts? They have no loyalties.
