>>Basing political and survival strategeries on biblical verses is not a plan. We are not here to interpret, promote, expand on or second guess the writings in a book. We are here to survive and promote the spirit of Christ. The bible is not like the Koran. It is not the only source of spiritual authority on earth. To believe that is to be reduced to a talmudic or koranic scholar who goes blind reading others writings about the past....<<
I agree with the third sentence. I agree with your point in your second sentence regarding the specific points of “promote”, “expand” and “second guess”. I disagree with the rest. Quite strongly actually.
Are you Unitarian?
The parallel example is the extreme brainwashing of kids memorizing the koran in blab schools. All they know is this or that verse and how the world is going to end and we are all going to hell if we don't do this or that. It's counter productive and socio-pathic to have to deal with 'mind-numbed end-times' robots. Too many denominations base their entire reality on biblical verse. Look up from a book and see the works of christ in the world we live in - not the world someone else interpreted to their own satisfaction, years ago.
