The ascent of Barack Obama is more proof of the pernicious effects of cultural Marxism on our public life. People are increasingly unable to identify real accomplishment as opposed to to accepting gaseous Kumbaya platitudes as evidence of the desirability of a mindlessly multicultural ideal.

Past presidents have usually been former vice presidents, governors of states, or generals who had been involved in great military campaigns. Even Senators of great accomplishment are rarely chosen to be president, because people correctly tend to see that they do not have the sort of executive experience that the aforementioned vice presidents, governors, and military men have.

Barack Obama was a state legislator for eight years, a United States senator for three, of which two thirds have been spent campaigning for president. I saw a segment on Hannity and Colmes moderated by Frank Luntz. He had a room full of Barack Obama supporters who enthusiastically expressed support for him. He then asked them to name one significant accomplishment for Barack Obama as a politician. They couldn’t name one, not one person in a room full of Barack Obama supporters. this guy may be, in addition to the first blacl prez, the first one accepted under affirmative acvtion guidelines!!!!

This adulation for Barack Obama is based upon idealistic projection and obsfucation by a mainstream media that refuses to ask Obama tough questions about his policy positions. His extreme Socialist vision for the country is only remarked upon by classifying him as a liberal.”

I agree...there is another thread (ongoing) about the Che Guevara/Cuban flag Obama banner (proudly displayed in BHO's Houston campaign HQ). There are FReepers saying (I paraphrase)...'this will be his undoing' 'wait til the average American sees this.' My take, there are Americans, potential voters out there who will see that banner/flag and say 'I wonder if someone is selling those on eBay? I'd love to have one.' They have no idea who Che was, they couldn't recognize the a Commie symbol if it landed in their Starbucks...its a different culture...

We know (FReepers) what these symbols represent because we follow politics, read history...but there are alot who don't. FWIW, BHO stated that the banner was inappropriate, but stopped short of asking his 'peeps' to take it down.
