“I happen to be a single-issue voter (pro-life);”

Then Ron Paul is your Man. He is the only one that keeps sending the life begins at conception bill to the house and has delivered over 4000 babies. Even as a protest vote it’s worth it.

John McCain voted AGAINST barring terrorists from the US. He is not for protecting this country.

Those three have the same position on amensty and other issues. Maybe Hillary is just a fraction less committed to forcing it on us.

I think Huckabee is the best chance to fire a clean shot across McCain’s bow and take the delegates in this winner take all thing.

McCain’s “sex life” is not something I have any knowledge of.

McCain is just too liberal and will spend too much on too many foolish programs and seems committed to the Al Gore global warming agenda. That will mean some sort of taxation on everyone to change our consumption habits “to save the planet.”

Huckabee has said no to Kyoto (the UN “climate change” treaty) and supports U.S. soverignty in the face of the UN.

Huckabee is clearly pro-life with so many pro-life groups endorsing him in various states. State affiliates of National Right To Life in the South endorsed him.

Ron Paul is pro-life and spoke at the March For Life in January.

But I still see Huckabee as the “headline grabber” whose win in VA will affect McCain and send him the most powerful message.

No way McCain —— Let the convention pick a candidate rather than the mainstream media

It is general knowledge that John McCain is an adulterer. The controversy revolves around his military service, his lack of support for POW/MIA issue, and the nagging question in the minds of some: Is John McCain the Manchurian Candidate?

I’ve heard the “Manchurian” thing.

I found it hard to understand his affinity for visiting with his former captors in Vietnam.

I have to set high standards for myself why not the best.

Despite all of the examples of great names in American history (such as Washingon, Lincoln, and Reagan) if a thriced-divorced, oxycontin-addicted loudmouth who evaded the draft because of a boil on his butt is your best standard I feel sorry for you.

Then there's the John Warner robocalls to endorse McCain. Frankly, that's what angers me. Virginians who have a long memory know how Warner got to be a United States Senator. I remember that nominating convention back in 1978 when Richard Obenshain was selected and Virginia had hope of a conservative senator. Warner came in second using his then wife actress Elizabeth Taylor on the floor of that convention. After the tragic plane crash that killed Obenshain, Warner ended up winning the endorsement at a new convention.

Sen. John Warner, R-VA - Served in the Navy 1945-1946 as a RM3; reenlisted in the USMC 1950, 10 years service in Marine Corps Reserve, retired as Captain...what did Mike Huckabee do?

Apparently, Warner didn’t think squat when a Marine who was in the jungles and rice paddies of Vietnam wanted to become Virginia’s other United States Senator and was the GOP candidate in 1994.

Warner snubbed the Republican candidate Ollie North by supporting Marshall Coleman, an independent candidate designed to deny North victory in the Senate race.

And Warner got his way taking votes from North to allow Chuck Robb, the Democrat, to be re-elected.

Warner=RINO.

Is it really you, archy and mehitabel? I love those guys.

This is the worst voting day of my life. At first I thought about voting for Huckabee and praying for a brokered convention. Then I thought about voting for Thompson. But darn it, he quit, and it's hard to vote for a quitter. Ron Paul is still there. He's horribly wrong about Iraq and 9-11. But the bureaucracy has to go. I still believe that, and Ron is the *only* one talking about limited government, for pete's sake.

Maybe pigs will fly. Hillary is relying on the Hispanic vote to win in the primaries. If she becomes the nominee, she will have a lot of backs to scratch.

All I ask is for Huckabee supporters to own up to the fact that they support Huckabee. Instead, they are trying to give people any reason in the World to vote for Huckabee other than that they would actually be voting for Huckabee. It is manipulative and dishonest. Huckabeean, even.

I am not for amnesty. However, you go to war with the troops you have. Not the ones you wished to have. McCain is who we have. I will vote for him.

I will not. If John McCain can vote on principle and conscience, so can I.

Actually, a vote for Paul is the logical option if you simply want to send an F-U message to the party establishment.
