"I can't see how we'll ever solve anything."

You outlined in your post a gradual draw-down. That is one way.

But in order to even start changing direction, we have got to stop maintaining the same power structure that is now in power.

We start that by electing whoever we can that has a clear understanding of how we got to where we are today, and a desire to do the opposite.

Only one man is currently qualified to lead the change in direction: Ron Paul.

All the others are of the same old mindset that has gotten us into this mess.

I wasn't excited about the entire Republican field in the very beginning, really weak IMO. I liked Duncan Hunter better than anyone running, but I was certain he was going nowhere because he would never receive anymore than $ 20-50 donations from ordinary people because of his stand on trade. I eliminated Paul when he said he wanted to withdraw all the troops from all over the world if he were elected and because he associated with that leftwing lunatic from PrisonPlanet. Scary IMO. No one else in the field interested me after that.

I am going to sit out this election unless there is someone down ticket I want to vote for. Thanks for the back and forth. I appreciate where you're coming from.
