Ventura was unelectable.

Ellison, a Cair lovin’, Calypso Louis supportin’ activist muslim lawyer that defended Kathleen Soliah of the SLA, should have been unelectable.

The leftists in Minneapolis, St.Paul, Rochester, St. Cloud and Duluth will all get out and vote for the Dem candidate, be it Ciresi or Franken. The conservatives, especially out-state are going to stay home. Norm isn’t conservative and now Gov. Pawlenty has also taken a hard left that has the base pissed off.

The problem though is that when the conservatives stay home thereby giving the election to the Dems, it’s portrayed as the Republican lost because they were too conservative. That’s all I hear about 2006. “The country wanted change towards the left” not “the conservatives were fed up with the leftward lurch of their party.” I suspect this leads to a moderation of Republican candidates. See McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Giuliani.
