BlackBerry Service Out in N. America

NEW YORK (AP) -- An outage has disconnected BlackBerry smart phones across North America. AT&T Inc. says the disruption Monday is affecting all wireless carriers. AT&T first learned about the problem at about 3:30 p.m. EST.
There's no word on the cause or when the problem might be fixed.
BlackBerry maker Research in Motion did not immediately return a phone call.

RIM (Blackberry) provides the behind the scenese push transport pipes to send the e-mail to the device from the company servers or desktop redirector. I bet they must have different pipelines for CDMA and GSM carriers as I have been receiving my e-mails.

can you hear me now? : ) Ahh, the Verizon® slogan. And yes I can - thankfully I have the unlimited data plan with my WindowsMobile smart phone that gets e-mails from 3 different servers: one pushed, the other two pulled every 10 minutes...:)
So I guess, not only can I hear you now, I can read you now! In fact, posting from my SCH-i760 phone right now!
