Heard this afternoon on Rush's show, in response to a caller's question: 'Obama may get the most delegates, but he won't be the Democrat nominee. We're talking about the Clintons here.'
“So, youre not voting? How will the Republic ever survive?”
Yes, I’m the only one who is upset. Just me.
By themselves. My Republican primary ballot had more than 20 names on it, most of them unknown to me. You might have to get a certain number of petition signatures to get on the ballot, but anyone who wants to run can do so.
Your ridiculous conspiracy mongering is getting tiresome. "Corruption," my ass.

Carter helped to get us Reagan. You need to look beyond the moment.
And what makes you think that it will occur again?
Reagan ran in 1976, so who is the new Reagan that we can count on coming forward in 2012?
This year’s primaries have not been very kind to any pundit foolish enough to make predictions. Nevertheless, I’m going to go ahead and call the Democratic nomination race: Barack Obama will beat Hillary Clinton.
Why do I think that? The immediate reason is that we’ve just entered a month in which voters will see a series of headlines, like the one below, that all start with the phrase “Obama wins,” as Obama wins one caucus and primary contest after another. He now has the lead in the delegate count, and he is building an unstoppable momentum.
Hillary Clinton is hoping that, after a month of nothing but headlines proclaiming her losses, she can rely on a “firewall” of established support in Ohio, which votes in early March. Maybebut then again, that was Rudy Giuliani’s strategy for Florida, and we saw how that turned out. After a month of headlines proclaiming victories by other candidates, Giuliani’s Florida support evaporated.
Another reason I am predicting that Obama will win is that the left-leaning press has turned against the Clintons. We saw this after Obama’s first win, in Iowa. The moment Hillary Clinton was no longer “inevitable”in fact, when it looked like she would be out of the race quicklythere was a palpable sigh of relief, as if pundits on the left were finally free to admit, to others and to themselves, that they hate her.
In yesterday’s New York Times, for example, Frank Rich characterizes a Clinton attack on Obama as “a lie, and a bigoted lie at that” and dismisses Hillary as a candidate “crippled by poll-tested corporate packaging that markets her as a synthetic product leeched of most human qualities.”
Meanwhile, just to make things more fun for those of us on the right, the civil war in the Democratic Party is spilling over onto the editorial pages of the New York Times, with Paul Krugman rather implausibly accusing Obama supporters of waging a Nixon-esque campaign of “hate.” And yes, the comparison to Nixonthe Beelzebub of leftist mythologycomes from Krugman himself.
Oh well, I guess we have to have some entertainment to compensate for the depressing spectacle, on the Republican side, of a choice between John McCain and Mike Huckabee.
“Obama Wins in Maine; Clinton Replaces Her Campaign Manager,” Katharine Q. Seelye, New York Times, February 11
Senator Barack Obama racked up his fourth decisive victory this weekend, winning the Maine caucuses on Sunday, as Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton replaced her campaign manager and longtime aide in the biggest shakeup of her campaign to date .
No being a part of the Clinton machine does though ,dont ever under estimate the power of the Communist Chinese backers
Rush was wrong when he said that the Beast wouldn’t run for NY Senator.
I love him but he’s been wrong before.
Yes, but his empty rhetoric will start to be exposed in the campaign.
Hillary is already hitting it.
Moreover, many Hillary people aren't going to vote for the guy who stopped their idol from getting the nomination.
There is going to be alot of hard feelings on the losing side.
If Obama loses the nomination due to the Super delgates or sitting of Mich. and Fl. there is going to be alot of bitterness on their part.
I doubt he would take a VP slot under those circumstances.
There is a very good chance that the Democrats split their Party in this convention.
My friend as a rational individual and one whose thoughts are framed in the school of logic, reason and facts, but yet one who does not understand the collectivist, emotionist, irrational and stupid mind of the Great Leftard Moonbat that WILL cause the lemmings of the Democommie Party to vote for any “Progressive” listed on the ballot — be it Joseph Stalin, Osama bin Obama, or the Hildabeast.
McCain will destroy the party from within and no recovery....so at this point Id have to root for Obama because the Clinton machine will destroy his pres. We can re-group.
God help us.
Uhhh...I think you may have that backwards. They (Hillary and Obama) will have a “sudden” feeling of comradery and suddenly they have all minority votes (and I do mean ALL) and the middle and left sewn up. And we (Republicans) won’t have a chance. This has all been just a dog and pony show all along.
I think he's wrong here. Anyway I bookmarked this thread for future reference.
BINGO!!!! You get the prize. However, I don’t think he is going to get the nomination. Hillary will get the nomination and Obama will be VP on the ticket. That way he can run for President after Hillary is out of office. I believe that’s their plan.
wrong.
rush said that hillary was
not
running for the u.s. senate in 2000.
Well, actually black MEN got the vote first.
considering the fact that the rumor no is McCain is thinking of tapping anti-fence Kay Baily Hutchinson as his VP, it seems the RINOs have cross bread with the lemmings.
I agree with Rush about Obama , He is like the pied piper for youth ,He speaks well. But there is nothing of substance in his speeches. And he is so far to the left its unreal His record what little there is proves that
The same was said of Hitler in 1932...Lie I said before it is difficult for us with rational minds to understand collectivists like Obama and Hitler because they speak to emotional and not very intelligent socialist lemmings willing to follow without question those who are selected as leader by The Party....If The Party says that leader is Obama, they will run off the cliff following Comrade Obama..If The Party says the leader is The Hildabeast, the lemmings will run off the cliff following her.
I note the Germans did the cliff dive following Hitler.
I have been watching him and listening to bamas speeches. they are issueless. He sounds like a preacher only he isnt preaching about much of anything. absolutely nothing of substance other then change and using some of martin luther kings lines
....and millions of Americans will yell, “SEIG HEIL!”
The more I learn about Obama, the more parallels I see between him and Adolf Hitler. Like Hitler Obama is a racist for the same basic reason Hitler was a racist — Obama is half white and Hitler was part Jewish. Hitler’s speeches in the 1920s and early 30’s were of the same emotionalist and irrationalist drivel that is today the standard speech of Obama. By 1932 the Nazi Party of Hitler numbered in the millions and was posed to take over the bureaucracy of the German Republic. The same is true of the Democrat Party today, which like the Nazi Party of Germany in 1932 already has in place a Fifth Column within the Federal Government.
And let us not forget that Hitler was called a “Messiah” by millions of Germans even before he came into power....The same is true of Obama in regards to millions of Americans who call him a “Messiah” and think of him in irrational religious terms.
Finally, I would note that today’s America has many ominous parallels with Germany’s Weimar Republic. The office of President in our Republic like the office of Chancellor in the Weimar Republic offers the ambitious man an excellent opportunity to become dictator.
Yes, God Help USA!
