State Rep. Jon Elrod continues on the campaign trail in his tough but winnable election to represent the 7th Congressional District of Indiana. It's less than 30 days until the Special Election and his opponent Andre Carson has support of the DCCC, the NoI, the CBC, among other hard left groups.
Jon has his dedicated grassroots and Your Support to turn the tide on this Congressional seat.
As seen here on FR, FReepers are writing off 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as a lost cause and concentrating on Congress in 2008. This is the first step to putting Congress back in the GOP column.
Jon recorded a podcast with local political bloggers Saturday, and you can listen to it HERE. There was a technical problem and the first portion of the interview was missed.
Jon Elrod runs on a platform of fiscal conservatism and eliminating earmarks. The challenge is before us - are we willing to help take back Congress starting now?
Hoosier PING!
I sent him a donation. I would love to see him win this. This is an example of what Rush was talking about — pushing for conservatives around the country whenever we get the chance.
We should all be sending this guy money right now, to send the message — conservatives can count on conservatives to support them.
The article specifically mentioned he is not using his grandmothers name who's seat he is trying for, just like Bayh didn't use his father to further his career. I thought it was so funny that all he keeps saying every time I see him is he isn't running on his Grandma's name, but he repeats it over and over and over just so he can use Julia's name, while specifically saying he isn't using it.
Every reporter who interviews him brings up his grandma, her legacy, and how he isn't using that AT ALL, nope, never.
The guy to me is an *ss clown who isn't fit to run for dog catcher IMHO, if the people of the seventh elect him just like they kept putting his grandma in there we will have to hang our collective hoosier heads in utter shame for another two years.
