MSNBC's "pimp" flap got nastier yesterday as bloggers dug up a clip of one of the cable network's top talking heads using the prostitution analogy on-air last year. But Keith Olbermann, the network's chief left-wing Doberman, didn't suffer the same fate as suspended correspondent David Shuster when he accused President Bush last September of "pimping" the commander of US forces in Iraq. You gotta agree that accusing someone of pimping one’s daughter 20-something daughter is much different than accusing someone of pimping a general officer.

Hate speech against the President, the troops, and all republicans/conservatives is perfectly acceptable to Fat Dim Russert and the gang at NBC/MSNBC....but don’t cross the Clinton’s or democrats.

Pimping is an expression well-suited to politics and MSNBC’s coverage of it. I fail to see the offense unless the Clintons believe Chelsea really could be mistaken for a hooker. The free press will not exist in a Clinton administration. Look how they cringe already!?

What difference does it make, MSNBC/NBC have marginalized themselves with their hate speech; they have no credibility anymore. If it takes a slam against a Clinton to expose the lies and untruths of MSNBC that is fine with me. The comment by Schuster was inappropriate and rude, just like the comment (and many more) by the Olberidiot.
Recall too, that a “reporterrete” on CNBC called President Bush a “monkey”.
The folks over there are liars and propagandists, its high time GE pulled the plug on them.

I seriously don’t think this is a big deal. Pimping is a rather commonly used slang term to refer to questioning medical or law students by a professor, usually on a singled-out, one-on-one basis with everyone in the room witnessing.
I couldn’t care less. I’ve heard the phrase numerous times.
Heck with Olbermann, how about Mornin’ Joe asking one of his journalist friends if Fred Thompson’s wife worked the poles.
Yes, I recall. In fact, this was discussed yesterday on “Reliable sources”; when a panel member reminded Howie that Scarborough had made this statement, Howie defended him and stated “he was talking about exercising”. I LOLed!
