The problem rests with the whiners who say they will stay home rather than vote for McCain. If they are true to their word, these people will cast aside the opportunity to vote for conservative candidates in local, state, and U.S. Congressional races as they protest McCain’s name on the ballot. If we can’t bring ourselves to vote for McCain, then leave it blank. There are a lot of other important races that need our attention.

Your foolish ilk around here have called me Rooty-Tooty lover, Huckster fan, Mittbot, and now I am a McCainiac ever since I met Fred Thompson and realized he was not going anywhere with his campaign back in October. I also met Duncan Hunter, and offered to assist his campaign locally.
You are too freaking dense to know how to pick your fights, and obviously too slow to understand my suggestion to write off the 2008 presidential election. Really, you should change your diaper.

Yes... and when you dont hold core beliefs and you dont have a foundation on which to draw conclusions... your governing swings with the wind. See my tagline...

“No I would not vote for Paul. “
Bingo. You draw the line at Ron Paul. I draw it at John McCain. It’s not a matter of party loyalty. It’s a matter of the degree of dissatisfaction with the candidate.
I won’t vote for the Democrat either, but, I understand Rush’s and Ann’s point of view. If you are going to have a socialist for President, the Democrats might as well get the blame for the results.

You make a good point...just that I put supreme court above all else, that`s just me I cant help it....On 2nd thought if the choice was Paul against Hillary or Obama? I would vote for Paul, yes I am also interested in winning in Iraq etc..so there would be some problem there, but not any worse than dems.Ron Paul would appoint good judges or so he says.
I would not be surprised if a good 3rd party conservative might enter race...and No I do not consider Bloomberg a Republican.

If we cant bring ourselves to vote for McCain, then leave it blank. I agree with that idea, voting even if not for president. I also disagree with those who say they are going to change party registration, since probably the GOP primaries will be the ones with any conservatives running.

I’m waiting for the VP choice. That will tell me what I need to know about McCain’s claim that he will govern with a conservative hand.

McCain can promise the moon...it means nothing. He will say anything to get elected and then govern like a Dem. Repubs will get blamed-no thanks not this time.
