Gitmo, waterboarding, Somalia, KLA, closing the POW/MIA investigations...it all adds up to his overall unfitness to command.

then I’m sure you’ll be just fine with Obama as commander in chief? I don’t think you could say that Reagan or Bush were 100% correct on every issue before they became president and even afterwards.

Kidnappings of U.S. citizens on rise

Sophisticated Mexican groups plot abductions

By Tony Manolatos
SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER

February 6, 2008

Organized, well-financed and violent Mexican kidnapping cells are targeting a growing number of U.S. citizens visiting communities popular with San Diegans and other California residents.

Last year, at least 26 San Diego County residents were kidnapped and held for ransom in Tijuana, Rosarito Beach or Ensenada, local FBI agents overseeing the cases said yesterday. In 2006, at least 11 county residents had been kidnapped in the three communities.
“Some of the 26 were recovered, some were hurt and some were killed,” said agent Alex Horan, who directs the FBI’s violent-crime squad in San Diego.

“It’s not a pleasant experience. Victims have reported beatings, torture and there have been rapes. . . . Handcuffs and hoods over the head are common,” he said. ..

The battles in the streets 15 miles south of me with troops, etc look and sound like Bagdad two yrs ago.

The cost to my city and others exceed when it would cost to solve this.

You excuse and skirt around the issue as many who hire illegals and are part of the problem.

San Diego County population is 3 million, add tens of thousands of illegals living here along with those who cross to use our social services daily.
Most living here are second, third, etc generation non English speaking as they hate America and only want to take.

I was just going to say good night and thank you for a reasonable disagreement. But you had to pull out the adolescent logic with its inherent insult.

so tell your mayor to go after these guys. I don’t understand why no other city has been willing to adopt the strategies that Rudy and Bloomberg (the liberal!) used in NYC to fight crime.

I apologize but “unfitness to command” usually implies a comparison to someone who is “more fit to command.” I don’t think there is any question that McCain is more fit than anyone else in the race and we have to make a choice. I don’t think there is any question that he is imperfect. Hopefully he will reconsider his mistaken views.

Your city is a drop in the bucket.
The illegals have overwhelmed the resources.
Put a foreign country up against your city and let tens of thousands into your city with a free flow of other thousands more. Let it build up as the liberal laws don’t assist you.

Your suggestions to the problem only prove you have no clue or don’t want one.

I said we need a fence. (in NY we may need a fence because of all the gangs coming in from Canada but let’s focus on mexico for now...)
That should stop the flow in. Once a fence is built across the entire border, local crime efforts will be more effective. A case can be made for a federal “cleanup” for border cities since it is mostly to blame for their crime situation.

But is it worthwhile to expend resources (and increase government coercion and loss of privacy) to go after non-criminal illegals? That’s the main problem I have in this debate.

Someone needs to alert Chuckles to stop his shilling for McLame and tell him to get back to the state and start working on property tax relief for homeowners.

Crist promised huge tax cuts for overburdened homeowners in Florida.
While our taxes have risen 3 or 4 hundred percent in the last 10 years he gave us about a $250.00 break on a $5000 tax bill.
Meanwhile every govt agency in the state went wild about the calamity about to happen from this minor tax break.
Crist is a liberal bozo not worth spit.

Where did you hear that?

There was a story out of Broward County that showed where registered Independents were given GOP ballots and allowed to vote in the GOP primary. CNN reported in their exit polling that listed 17% of GOP primary voters as registered Independents and 3% as registered Democrats.

I am fully aware of Florida law on this matter, but I am also fully aware of the state board of elections turning a blind eye to this law.

The Cubans voted for McCain because they got calls the night before the election falsely claiming that Romney wanted to open up a dialog with Castro. It was a heinous trick.

Here's a link. I'll try to find you some audio as well.

And here's the exit poll data that shows 20% of the voters who voted in the GOP primary were not Republicans.

Crist is a liberal bozo not worth spit.

That's an insult to liberal bozos everywhere. Many liberal bozos have experienced the responsibility that comes with having kids and owning a home, but not Crist. He is truly an empty suit who just kinda goes along with whatever he thinks will be popular. Leadership? Bah. Not for Charlie.

The thought of him as VP truly frightens me because, due to McCain's age, the thought of him as VP necessarily entails thinking of him as POTUS. And God help us all if that ever came to pass.

“non-criminal illegals? That’s the main problem I have in this debate.”

ari-I can see how you are confused: “illegals” are by definition criminals.
We have high, concrete walls in Baghdad that were erected quickly, without debate or thought of expense and are effectively keeping Sunnis and Shiites apart. We have a White House with a high iron fence and gated communities throughout the country. We fence school children in to keep bad guys out.

Good fences make good neighbors, particularly in a situation where intelligent citizens apparently can’t tell which side they are on. The problem is that McCain, Kennedy, Bush and special interest groups that support them don’t want to exclude “non-criminal illegals” and they want to keep tacking the expense of their overhead on to the taxpayers. They want the status quo ante, while most Americans do not.

Bush 1 had Dan Quayle.
McLame needs more than a Quayle to get the job.
Maybe JESUS CHRIST but not Charlie Crist.

I wouldn’t let Crist walk my goldfish.
