Kamikaze Republicans -- those who say they'll never vote for John McCain because he isn't conservative enough -- may get what they deserve.
The Clintons.
Many on the right, including Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, James Dobson and others, have declared they'd rather vote for Hillary Clinton -- or not vote at all -- than cast a ballot for McCain. These self-appointed spokesmen for conservatism insist that voting for Clinton is a matter of principle: Better to go down on the strength of one's convictions than to be a morally compromised placeholder, they say.

Doing ANYTHING to assist Hillary Clinton in securing power over the government and military is completely asinine.
>> The country will be irretrievably in the crapper by ‘12 if your scenario unfolds..
Ha. You say that as if you know it for a fact.
But you know and I know that you DON’T know. You don’t know squat. All you have is all I have, that is, our opinions.
What’s more... GUARANTEE me that the country WON’T be in the crapper if Cap’n McQueeg wins.
Go ahead, guarantee it!
Seven posts in a row that make sense and the thread grinds to a halt.
Oops. Spoke too soon.
I guess I'm not a conservative. I have Usama bin Laden, Kim Jong Il, The Red Chinese Politburo, Hugo Chavez, and numerous jihadists, dictators and other bad guys on my list well before Ted Kennedy shows up.
Kennedy only killed one girl, Usama killed over 3000 people. I know which is the greater danger
When has that worked?
Agreed. It's not just that he voted on behalf of restricting our first amendment rights, he authored the damn bill (McCain-Feingold). It's not just that he voted on behalf of giving amnesty to 20,000,000 illegal aliens, he cobbled that monstrosity (McCain-Kennedy) together in secret with GW Bush and Teddy Kennedy and tried to ram it through.
So, it's not just that he cooperated with Teddy Kennedy and the other democrats from time to time, he was the wholesale champion of their causes. Now, for those of you who still support him, why in the hell, after a lifetime's worth of betrayal to his friends and supporters should we trust him to support us now????
P.S. Any of you who thinks that McCain will come around and act like a conservative if he's elected, I have a bridge to sell you...real cheap, almost new.
I wager your life that I am correct.
FYI
I chose the term Public Enemy because it goes back even farther than the rap group. And if you were familar with the term's provencance then you would know that it specifically applied to domestic criminals although they chose the term enemy. I was making an allusion that obviously was beyond your grasp, and in the scope of the analogy Public Enemy was meant to be limited to conservative political enemies. I am not such a dolt as obviously you took me as to attempt to compare Teddy Kennedy to national security threats. Nixon had an enemies list and everyone understood that he meant political enemies not enemies such as communist dictators. Words such as enemies has many more connotations than the one you tried to pin to me. I refuse to condescend to write at such a level as to satisfy those whose reading skills are such that they cannot get beyond communications which hover at a literal level.
My life is not yours to wager.
Couldn't happen to a sweller bunch, now that I think about it. ;)
That was his re-election campaign slogan back in '04, wasn't it...? ;)
Kathleen has it exactly right.
Unless, of course, in those four years the RAT damages the country beyond repair.
IMHO, the solution to this is to bust our ass and try and keep the Senate, maybe pick up a couple of seats, and take back the House. At least then we'd stand half a chance of defeating grand schemes.
