Fox News has learned that the Huckabee campaign has called for a “full investigation” into the Washington State Caucus results, and are sending campaign lawyers to the state to help in that pursuit. Ed Rollins, Huckabee campaign chairman, directly challenged Washington State GOP Chairman Luke Essers move in anounncing that John McCain had won the tight race with only 87.2 percent of the votes counted.

” The chairman showed very bad judgement in stopping the voting last night when announcing John McCain had won, when there was less that a 200 vote margin between the two candidates,” Rollins told Fox in an exclusive interview.” You never announce a vote, in my 40 years of politics I have never know anybody to announce a vote count before the vote is counted.”

Rush Limbaugh talks about Huckabee’s record frequently, and he hasn’t fooled Rush, he sees through him like glass instead of looking at him through rose-colored glasses. Huckabee is a pro-life Rino, he’s ok on gun issues for now but things go to Huck’s head, he could change on a dime. Like when he lost all that weight and started trying to cram fat and sugar taxes and healthy life style health-nazi crap down our throats. I liked the old fat Mike better, but that’s probably because I didn’t really know him then. You should read some of the comments he’s made recently in Rush’s news letter, fairly undistinguishable from the dems most of the time. Maybe they’re up on Rush’s website, I don’t know. Huckabee is no conservative, I don’t care how good his speech was at the conservative convention, talk is cheap.

I am not promoting Huckabee. I did not vote him, nor do I ever believe I would have. But I am drawn to his story because we share something. He is being asked to SUBMIT to John McCain for the good of the party. And after careful thought is answering with his actions, why should I?

Politicians must be ambitious men, it is necessary to get anywhere in politics as we saw with Thompson. Huckabee is being asked to give up his ambition of being President or Vice-President by McCain and a Republican Party which did little to move a conservative agenda forward with it six years in the majority.

Do not misread my posts? I am not jumping on any Huckabee train. But Huckabee is sending a message to the Keating Five and the clueless Republican Party leadership that I can only second. He is saying just who do you think you guys are, why should I submit to you or think you all are positioned to do this party any long time good. Huckabee by staying in the race and not submitting to McCain and the impotent party establishment is saying the same thing I am saying by witholding my vote from McCain and not submitting to this out of touch crowd. I am not supporting Huckabee, we two are just bonding on this very dark conservative night as one or both of us of prepare to step off this speeding Republican train which is heading for the ultimate train wreck in November.

It sounds like Huckabee is totally ignorant in how the Washington State Caucus works and he is making a big deal out of Nothing. No delegates have been awarded. This was just basically a tally of which way those who showed up at the caucus were leaning. The elected delegates by precinct will vote again at the district caucus in March which is were the delegates will be awarded. McCain and Huckabee have until then to sway the 12.3% uncommitted and the 16.7% who in protest voted for Mitt Romney. That’s 29% up for grabs not counting the 20.7 % Ron Paul people who will not be moved. Huckabee even has a chance to get some of the McCain voters to change their vote by March.
By acting like a spoiled baby in contesting this count is not doing Huckabee any favors.

Try reading something besides pro-Huckabee propaganda. Huckabee lies.

I started with CNN ... figuring that would be the start of a strong bias against him. But as their negatives sound like positives to me, he came across quite well. I'm still reading and open to suggestions. But for now -- I'd give him my vote long before I'd toss it to McCain.

Dang... and here I thought I lived in a Republic.

Caucuses are the ONLY place where an average citizen has a hope of being a representative of his/her peers. It also puts more of an emphasis on little things like voters being alive. I hated the day that Washington went from 100% caucus to a primary, because we lost control of who our candidates were.

CNN’s bias won’t come out until Huckabee actually wins something, the nomination or a VP spot.

For those of you who miss, Al Gore, he’s back!!!!!!!!

Well, I am assuming you are not a WA resident who sat and watched the governor's race of 2004 being stolen in plain sight.

That said, where was Ed Rollins when that was going on. We could have used some help as the Dem/Union operatives in King County stole the election.

I don't think Huckabee can turn things around; but, I actually like the fact that national coverage may be turned to WA state and their very funky election processes.

Yeah, real chump that Huckabee. Turns out Fred was McCains best friend, handing him SC and then endorsing him again .... just like in 2000.

But wait, he’s the true conservative, right? Meanwhile, the guy who was supposedly in league with McCain is still in it and contesting an election he was handed without 12.8% of precints votes counted.

Superb post. The anti-Huckabee stuff on here has progressed from the sublime to the ridiculous. And I was a Fred guy.
