You obviously missed my sarcasm when I said that I highly doubt that they would be using live ammunition. As for “bothering to read the story” DUHHH! I posted it so obviously I read it. As for worrying about toy guns and such..get a grip!

Well, tell that to the mothers whose children have been killed by mistaken policemen thinking they we acting in self-defense. It has happened more than once.

There’s an obvious risk that the sound of gunfire in a highly congested civilian area might alarm someone. If a bank robber fires his weapon at the ceiling, and someone dies of a heart attack, a homicide has occurred. Why allow our brave soldiers to be at risk of causing such an unfortunate event in peacetime? It makes no good sense.
