As much as they appear to dislike one another, Democrats seem able to ignore almost anything in their quest for power.

IMO, Hillary would take VP over losing and having nothing to show for. Perhaps she feels that she could manipulate Obama behind the scenes, while setting things up for her own eventual Administration.

Strange times we’re living in!

Hillary would take VP over losing

For a few days there I kind of believed that Obama might win this thing. Not that I want Obama to win but that's another story.

But I thought, maybe Obama will actually beat She Who Will Be Queen and never mind that by me Obama would be way worse than Hillary should he win. For a while it just made me smile that once the Dems had somebody, ANYBODY, they all, the Kennedys, many lib Governors, all swung over to Obama. Made me think that maybe the Clintons got on their nerves too and should the chance arise they want to throw that pair over the bow.

Then reality hit me. What's the deal with these so-called "super-delagates"? I realize this is a Dem thing but from the bits and pieces I hear, super-delagates are like ex-governors and "hard-working" local political folk. But my thought is, isn't it just like the Dems to build in a quality mechanism to tamper so easily with the will of the people?

Ex-Governors? Hard-working local politicos? This has CLINTON written all over it. Because if any of them ever had their name in an FBI file you gotta know they'll for the Hill. The rest of them, well money buys a lot, maybe even super-delagate votes.

Oh, and the Florida/Michigan thing! You think Hill's gonna let this drop should Obama win in the other states? Already I see that Dem Senator from Florida out, forget his name. But already he's out and arguing for Florida's votes to count, that Floridians shouldn't be disenfranchised.

So I read some pundit or another who mentions, correctly I think, that Obama didn't campaign in Florida, that it was understood that Florida has no votes in the primary.

Only The Hill campaigned in Florida, huh? And sheesh, She Who Will Be Queen has so many aces in the hole my mind boggles.

Which doesn't affect us so much except, hey, I wasn't expecting this Obama thing and now I gotta think about this.

Finally, how about Huckabee winning everywhere tonight? What's up with that?

I hear a bit different from those around the campaign. It's been seen in a few articles in the last couple of weeks, but the tone he's taken about Hillary privately is pretty much, "She can pound sand".

I like being an optimist. The best thing that can happen during this election is that the Democratic party and the MSM finally, publically realize just how corrupt and hideously unfair the Clintons were - and if they do, then in a lot of ways they're going to admit that we were right.

And secondly, I hope that Obama's eventual defeat in November will be cordial, and not the grasping whininess of the defeated Gore candidacy. That's my hope. (eh he, sorry about the pun) But really, I think the whole Clinton-Gore entitlement machine really encouraged greivances and pumped it up by encouraging listening to the radical anti-American left. It kept their names up front, and their base irrationally furious. If Clinton's shown up, they may stop and finally realize, "By Jove!! We're actually in a War!".

Yeah. I know, two chances - fat and thin. But I really miss the old Truman style Democrat like Moynihan.
