Most people, rather than being “scared”, would be intrigued and probably stick around to watch.

I can understand the Mayor’s position. Living in Toledo is enough to scare anyone. The poor man doesn’t want to aggravate an a situation that already exists.

Mayor Carty Finkbeiner.
My uncle in LA worked for a Fink. And my sister. Once. Moose. Bit. By.

Ahh yes. Mayor was front and center, representing Toledo when the fast attack sub
USS Toledo was commissioned in '95.
Nuclear death is OK by this pud, but Marines aren't. How cute.

A few years ago, Canadian troops were doing similar exercises in downtown Fredericton, with all their usual equipment. I was on my way to a dinner date with some friends and crossed the street right along with a fully-armed soldier who politely swung his (unloaded) C7 to low port as I passed. It was amusing to see others skitter across the street to avoid them. Fredericton, being a typical Canadian government town along with an artsy town and a university town, is full of moonbats and wimps who see anything in camo as the devil incarnate. I didn’t have any problem with it.

Probably was afraid we would retake Toledo. It is, historically, part of Michigan.

The only person who is scared is Finkbeiner. He’s scared that he might upset MoveON.org and lose monetary support in the next election.

I am not advocating violence, but in the unlikely event of an armed Civil War within our borders, the history of such traitorous actions will make it easier to pull the trigger, as well as identify target priorities.

The 200 members of Company A, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines, based in Grand Rapids, Mich., planned to spend their weekend engaged in urban patrol exercises on the streets of downtown as well as inside the mostly vacant Madison Building, 607 Madison Ave.
Why weren't these exercises done in Detroit?

I thought they were going to practice and drill in downtown Toledo on a Sunday?
