BAGHDAD: A local al-Qaida in Iraq leader was killed early Saturday in a police raid on his home north of Baghdad, Iraqi police said.
Abu Omar al-Dori resisted police for about an hour before he was killed around 4 a.m. in his house in downtown Samarra, a police officer said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to media.

"al-Dori had been assigned to lead al-Qaida in Iraq operations in Samarra just one week ago"
Well golly gee, I sure hope he enjoyed his one week of eminence as a terrorist leader, and now he can fertilize the insects of Iraq...... whatever's left of him, anyway.

Excellent news.
And even better, the Iraqi Police killed this vermin.
The whole objective of this mission (that the liberals want to derail) is to get the Iraqis to stand on their own.
One year ago, the IPs and NPs weren't able to do things like this. Now, they're doing it regularly.
Well done, Iraqis.

The brevity of his leadership is an excellent indicator of how well the Iraqis and Americans are now getting the right time sensitive G-2 on these brainless brutes.

True enough, and they’ve lost many more soldiers and policemen in this struggle than we have. Their commitment is far better than the MSM and the Democrats wish to admit; they’re stakeholders in the war on terror and they’re willingly paying a high cost to be on the civilized side of it.

This guy missed out on the virgins too. Bad planning.

True enough, and theyve lost many more soldiers and policemen in this struggle than we have. Yes, they know their history.
They know our history. And European history.
They know that freedom does not come without courage and sacrifice.
And they're stepping up to the plate.

Unfortunately, our own recent history may not inspire our allies to believe we’ll see things through and has inspired our enemies to the certainty that we won’t, which all makes our task much more difficult.

Isn’t there a website that keeps track of dead AQ guys? The deaths are rolling in too fast to keep track!

Any relation to Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri? He is the leader of the Baath party, highest card still at large (King of Clubs), $10 million bounty.

I don’t know, but if he were, I’d think that’d been a part of the story. Now, al-Douri himself would be a very big catch or kill.

I’m sure there is, and Straightvermonter does a great job of keeping track of recent success. But I don’t know of a website that’s keeping a chronicle of all of these guys.
