RUSH: I want to go back to the archives of this program. I want to illustrate for you my prescience. When I tell you that you are on the cutting edge of the societal evolution if you are a regular listener here, this will establish it. October 18th, 2006. This is prior to the November elections, the midterms, and I was getting phone call after phone call from conservatives saying they were not going to vote. They were mad as hell. They were sick and tired of the Foley thing and Macaca. They were sick and tired of Republicans not governing as Republicans, and to hell with it, and this is what I said to them.

Now I know that in the context of the Republican primary, it's a little different, except in open primaries, as for the cause of McCain *gack* being the nominee presumptive. However, the number one prime priority for Republicans should be to push for immediate legislation on one very legitimate use of government: to require that photo ID be shown to vote in any election in America. That such a requirement doesn't exist right now is beyond comprehension.
That would go a long way to helping change elections. Another thing that would go a long way would be to make regsistering to vote an effort, rather than automatic enrollment. A third one would be to print the ballots in English ONLY!!!!! *rolls eyes*
Those three simple things would profoundly change elections.

But wait, the MSM says practically nobody voted for Thompson, so presumably he actually won in a landslide. Yeah! The republic is saved, Thompson is already president and is enacting his sweeping mandate for Freeper style conservatism, with all the trimmings! And absolutely everyone loves him for it. Why even Ahmadinejad is so impressed, he resigned yesterday and let in inspectors and said Iran is giving up its nuke quest.
You can tell all these wonderful things are happening, because the MSM claims they are not, while conservative freepers wish they did. And since the MSM lies, and conservative freepers are Gods Own Annointed, clearly whatever the latter long for has actually come to pass already.
Glad we got that straight. Now take another toke and let the grown ups decide how to run the country. OK?

McCain is not someone who simply reaches across the aisle to form coalitions with the other side. He walks across the aisle, puts on the other team’s uniform and sings the other team’s fight song.

Your opinion doesn’t count. The voter’s opinions are what ultimately counts :-) Don’t worry about trying to convince me and preaching to the choir - we need to recruit and groom future candidates that can convince the voters!

I agree , we had no one of any value running for us and we still don’t . The Dem socialist will take it all the way to the White House %100 sure of it . The Great American Socialism Experiment is on the way folks. We are on a major decline as a nation . I said it on here a year ago the media will block us out and saturate the airwaves with a DEM candidate.It’s JUST what they are doing . We had no candidate and no way to promote one even if we did .
Only an INSANE person would vote against voter IDs ( or DEMS )
