McCain actually did what the Senate used to do and that was advise and consent on justices when there were democrat presidents.

McCain huddled with the Democrats to prevent President Bush from exercising his right to appoint Judges as he saw fit. A right that Bush won with the election. There was no obligation nor mandate to "share" power with the left.

The so called gang of 14 fought to perserve the power of the minority party in Congress which I am glad exists today given what’s going on in the world. The dems are the ones that forced the issue to a place they had no business going. I don’t care for McCain but there are times he’s right on certain things.
