NBC NEWS STATEMENT REGARDING CHELSEA CLINTON COMMENT:
On Thursday's "Tucker" on MSNBC, David Shuster, who was serving as guest-host of the program, made a comment about Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton campaign that was irresponsible and inappropriate. Shuster, who apologized this morning on MSNBC and will again this evening, has been suspended from appearing on all NBC News broadcasts, other than to make his apology. He has also extended an apology to the Clinton family. NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks.

Yep...If it had been said about the Bush daughters, PMSNBC Mgmt, would have giggled and said: “Say it again! Say it again!”
I think he deserved it. That is not journalism.
Calm down Hillary! Don’t be so jealous!
Hit a little close to home for Billy Boy.. With all the trailer trash he has had, he must have thought that Shuster wanted him to pimp out his daughter too.
Boxers or briefs, pimped out, I am sure there are many more. Here is the result of what people really feel about you. Can you imagine any one making such a comment about Reagan or Thatcher? No because their was respect and dignity about those people.
Why’d you post a picture of some dude posing with a horse?
Can you imagine what would happen if any republican said that?
Wow she’s got feet like Sideshow Bob
The story of Boxers or Briefs. Daughter of a journalist; she sat around the kitchen table with her mom to discuss what she/they would ask at the screened audience “town hall”.
They settled on one about drug legalization. That question was refused and they were asked for something lighter, thus boxers and briefs.
Same as it ever was “Show me the questions”.
I feel an Arkancide in Shusters futre. LOOK OUT !
>>I dont think pimping out is something different generations interpret differently. Correct me if I am wrong but the meaning is inescapable and has to do with turning out or turning someone into a prostitute.
It was a tasteless vile remark and the anchor deserves condemnation.<<
First I agree that personal attacks are usually bad and have no place when directed at the child of a candidate. I’m glad to hear and agree with your your feelings on that.
But since we are 8 years passed the beginning of TV shows (like Pimp my Ride) that use “pimp” to mean “to make great improvement”
For example there is an article on the front page of the Atlanta paper today that talks about a white woman “pimping her garage” and by that they mean “Pimp My Garage” scenario, Rogers is getting a garage makeover, “organizing coaching,” and junk together.

I think this is like “cool” or “black” or “grass” or “gay” or many others that mean different things to different generations. If the generations want to communicate with each other it makes sense to understand how the other generation will hear what you are saying.
A song about how hard it is to be a pimp won the Oscar a few years ago. Ev’ryone be big pimpin’ now.
It is also common industry slang for those on the Tonight show/Late Show/etc. to know and proclaim that they are “pimping” their latest movie/book/album.
So now she wasn’t pimped out? Then what was she doing dressed up like a flossy.
The same leader of NY NOW said that it is symbolic of the sexual harassment that goes on in offices across this nation. HELLO. Hillary and NOW ENABLED a serial rapist who was also accused of multiple episodes of sexual harassment in the workplace (including the use of armed guards to escort an employee to a hotel room where she was ordered to KISS IT).
It is beyond a double standard. It is a DENIAL of ever having done wrong. Stalin would be embarassed to try this stuff as a Pravda headline."
BUMP!
