LONDON (Reuters) - Nearly half of British men surveyed would give up sex for six months in return for a 50-inch plasma TV, a survey -- perhaps unsurprisingly carried out for a firm selling televisions -- said on Friday.
Electrical retailer Comet surveyed 2,000 Britons, asking them what they would give up for a large television, one of the latest consumer "must-haves."
The firm found 47 percent of men would give up sex for half a year, compared to just over a third of women.
"It seems that size really does matter more for men than women," the firm said.
A quarter of people said they would give up smoking, with roughly the same proportion willing to give up chocolate.

You mean in exchange for giving up sex for 6 months I could have gotten a 50” TV rather than married? Why the heck didn’t someone tell me!
Apparently, a lot of U K men already have given up sex at least heterosexual sex. I was reading a story in a British tabloid the other day about a woman who was charged with sexually harassing a co-worker. The problem was the guy she was harassing was openly gay and they were both in security at the airport. You cannot make these things up, it is one thing trying to get a guy to change teams like Elaine did in Seinfeld, but the image of desperate middle aged women faced with pickens so slim that they are begging gay men for sexual favors is just pathetic. I am glad Sir John Gielgud did not live long enough to see himself become the unwanted target of heterosexual advances. Elton will probably leave the country, he will not stand for that kind of abuse either.
It would depend entirely on the Brand of TV and where the woman ranked on the Laetitia Casta-Rosie O'Donnell Scale.
