LONDON (Reuters) - Nearly half of British men surveyed would give up sex for six months in return for a 50-inch plasma TV, a survey -- perhaps unsurprisingly carried out for a firm selling televisions -- said on Friday.
Electrical retailer Comet surveyed 2,000 Britons, asking them what they would give up for a large television, one of the latest consumer "must-haves."
The firm found 47 percent of men would give up sex for half a year, compared to just over a third of women.
"It seems that size really does matter more for men than women," the firm said.
A quarter of people said they would give up smoking, with roughly the same proportion willing to give up chocolate.
It seems like there should be a joke in here about the HORIZONTAL HOLD. Not that you can find such a control on a TV anymore. And for the men and women here, which would you rather have?
1)A Big House
2)A Big Investable Net Worth
3)A Partner With Big Equipment In Preferred Places
4)A 50 Inch TV
Now be honest!
I’d like #3 with a remote please
Jesus, can people like you: a—give it a rest and b—stop using any excuse to spout that s**t...
When people like you stop with the pathetic insults then perhaps we, too, shall "play nicely."
However; I wouldn't recommend betting the rent money...

Number 2. The rest could be purchased or — well yeah, purchased.
Eh, mate, I am winding people up. And so are most of the British and Americans on this thread.
Wheee!! LOL!!!!
As long as you’re having fun doing it there’s no problem!
I'm going by what my BRITISH!!! in-laws tell me and what my wife, who was raised in England, tells me. Maybe things are better where you are, but my in-laws tell me how they save and spend. They're very frugal, and don't buy things on the spur of the moment. And they're not indigent by the way.
Perhaps we need to save for very large items like houses, but frankly we are no different in Britain to you in America.
We take out mortgages for houses, loans for cars and house repairs/improvements, and everything else in modern Britain is cash or more likely the good old credit card.
We have been that way since the 80’s, if not the 70’s and we have been just as much a spend now pay later society as America or Canada.
Britain is now a debt ridden society because of that...
Maybe you misunderstood my argument. I wasn’t saying that the British didn’t have money. My in-laws prove that. What I’m saying is that things are more expensive in Britain than America (I visited England and Scotland in 2006), but the British save better than Americans. Many Brits might spend recklessly (like many Americans), but my in-laws are smarter spenders than most people I know. Incidentally Sootland is a beautiful country. My wife has a sister who lives close to Aberdeen, and we stayed a week at her house.
Many people in my family who own a lot of guns have a lot of kids, 7+, must be something to your premise.
If we do it twice in a night, does that settle it for a year? Damn.
