I agree. I would rather see the Republican Party suffer defeat, and either Dem get elected, and then show the country just what a failure their ideas are. Hopefully, this would lead to a rebirth of the Republican Party as the true conservative party it should be.
Yes, I know all about the appointment of judges, and the raising of taxes, ane ...... But this country has survived for over 200 years, and will, if necessary, survive Hillary or Obama. In the long run the outcome for this country will be better if conservative principles can rise again. Electing McPain only prolongs the demise of the Republican PArty.
The ONLY way I would vote for McPain is if he gets a VP like Romney or Fred Thompson or someone similar. Then since McPain will probably keel over in his first term, a good conservative could replace him.

IMHO: If you are not with us, then you are against us. Go ahead stay home but don’t bitch when things go badly. If you can’t vote FOR McCain, then vote AGAINST Clinton/Obama. Thank you for your support. :)

I totally understand and empathize with your feelings about McCain. I had nearly decided to not vote for McCain and only vote for congressional races, but then I heard something on our local radio talk station that really made me think, and then change my mind.
It was a conservative local talk show and the two hosts were discussing the very thing all of conservatives have been talking about: to vote or not to vote.
One of the hosts asked the other what she was going to do. Her reply was, “For me, there is no choice in the matter. I have two brothers in the military, in Iraq. Whenever I talk to them they say to me ‘Don’t forget about us over here when you vote - vote for the candidate that will do the best job of taking care of the military.’ We owe the men and women serving in our armed forces to vote for the candidate that will do what is right for them. Therefore, I have to vote for McCain. The other two will gut the military budget and make decisions that will lead to more deaths of our soldiers.”
After listening to that, it was clear to me also that, as much as I dislike many of McCain’s positions, he will do a better job with our military. I’ve decided I have to vote for him. Our soldiers around the world are depending on us.
It is looking like that was a bad assumption.
Why is pooping on Reagan’s grave being conservative?
And why is spitting on our troops being conservative?
Ronald Reagan always said stand behind your party. He’d never support Hillary or Obama.
