You’ve hit the nail right on the head. After getting shafted by a GOP majority in the Senate and HOuse for 12 long, miserable years, you would think Hawkins and the other kowtowers would finally awaken to the fact that for far too long we have let conservative votes produce liberal victories.

exactly...does the country shift quickly to the left with obama/klintoon or does the country shift to the left slowly with McCain. At what point do we object to any shift to the left as wrong? I thought this was FreeRepublic.com not FreeGOPModerates.com?
