I dislike the Clintons as much as the next guy but I believe the blame is being placed on the wrong people.
It looks like the rental agreement was facilitated by an agent of a Real Estate Agency and that agent chose not to enforce payment up front. I believe the Real Estate Agency and their Agent are on the hook for $500 to the property owner.
I am surprised they didn't steal the windows, light fixtures, and door knobs on the way out.
When former FBI Agent Gary Aldridge wrote his book "Unlimited Access" - he documented this kind of behavior from the Clinton staff. Everything from trashing the Old Executive Office Building to not paying for food they had eaten at the White House Cafeteria.
Typical squatting liberal filth.
I can’t understand all the negative comments on this thread.
The problem is obviously the result of a miscommunication and staffing snafu. The person responsible for paying the bills and keeping accounts fot this office was inadvertently severed from the staff before all the work was done. In the hustle and bustle of a fast moving campaign, the laid off staffer was unable to provide the receipts for accounts payable to the main accounting office.
See....It’s just a minor $500 bill that will be taken care of now that it has been brought to the world’s attention
Why anybody would do business with the Clintons or their organization is beyond me. But to do business with them and not get payment upfront is insanity. Their track record for not paying is well known.
You’re dealing with the Clintons. This should have been expected. They did the same thing to the White House.
Imagine the Clinton campaign bus pulls up to your restaurant.
"OK, I'll be happy to take your orders but I'll need a deposit"
"As they left?" Are you kidding me?
What do you expect from a marxist who hates capitalists and landowners?
