"If we learn anything from the history of economic development, it is that culture makes all the difference. Culture makes all the difference."

Thanks. This one is going next to Reagan's "Let Them Go Their Way" in the permanent file...

Many are now talking that they can not support McCain and therefore the GOP.

Everyone has been going on about "What would Reagan do?" For many he is the perfect candidate, however he is not here today. So lets look at how he handled the political events in his own life.
Reagan said the Democrat Party abandoned him, not he the party. (Many say that of the GOP today.) Reagan came and found a home in the GOP. He went to work and changed it from within.
Do you think that Reagan would walk away from the GOP today? Do you think he would abandon the person who received enough delegate votes to be the Party Standard Bearer? Would he turn his back and do nothing? Just walk away? To where?

Does one election mean it is all not not worthwhile? What will Hillary/Obama do when they get in office ... they've said they would leave the WOT. Raise the white flag and come home and leave the terrorist/Islamofascists to have it their way. Is that a viable option? (Did Reagan walk away from the hostages in Iran?)

IMHO, each of us as individuals needs to reconcile the events and determine what we will do. It's an internal decision, maybe talking/writing here helps. But in the end ...
