How many Governmental utility bills are “paid” by enclosing the real stuff in an envelope?

I don’t understand what is so funny about the Jackboots coming into a man’s private property...Since every room in his house was filled with pot it was obviously for personal use. -sarc

Doesn’t matter, he wasn’t hurting anyone and a person should be able to do whatever they want on their own property.

That would be considered bribery... don't do it because it will never end... :)

Wait a minute - tax authorities are generally prohibited from sharing personal information with law enforcement agencies...

So none of the home grown weed left his property, right?

How did you arrive at this conclusion? How else can the IRS and state tax agencies prosecute tax scofflaws?

In tax court, where one has no rights.

At least, that is how they do it now.

Waste of jail space.

I think you are right because the war on drugs isn't working so far... Just because you are stupid and want to wreck your body shouldn't mean spending time in prison at the taxpayers' dime...

He must have had a lot. Current rule of thumb in Oregon (according to friends of mine who would know) is that they don’t bother anyone with fewer than 200 plants.

He musta had a bunch more than that.

The burden of proof is on you to show it. Good luck.

Don’t even mention legalizing drugs here... tons of moralistic Freepers will jump on ya even though the WOD is costing the taxpayers billions of dollars each year, driving up the price of illegal drugs, increasing crime to pay for the expensive drugs and not doing a darn thing to decrease drug use.

Woman accused of including meth with money in bank deposit envelope Article Date: Wednesday, February 13, 2008

BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — Credit unions accept deposits — just not of methamphetamine.

"A woman who allegedly dropped an envelope containing money and a bag of meth at a Kitsap Credit Union was arrested and charged with drug possession, according to court documents.

"A bank employee reported the deposit to police, who contacted the 18-year-old customer. Officers said she might have mistakenly included the bag when she got money out of her pocket for the deposit".

Thanks! I saw that in the local newspapers this morning. A little too close to home for me.

I hope all this recent stupidity isn't like a disease or something... :)
