Well...why didn’t she just buy a ticket on the plane that was going to Australia? Then she wouldn’t have had to stab anyone..and, she would have gotten a free bag of complementary peanuts.

Peanuts? She was ‘nuts’ enough already. (I’m inclined to think that might be the way they travel in Somalia.)
In Australia the ‘welfare people’ have to take them shopping, show them how to cook a meal, how to use an oven, how to catch a train etc...get the picture?

Why yes. Here in Kansas Tyson Foods is bringing them in to work in the meat packing plant. Emporia, Kansas in the Flint Hills now has an Islamic Center across from Emporia State University.
They are not openly receptive of our culture. They expect us to adopt theirs.

Hijacking carries a maximum sentence in New Zealand of life imprisonment. Seems to me that she's just achieved her primary goal - no way now that she'll be sent back to her homeland. She'll be living in relative luxury in a NZ prison compared to what she's probably used to.
