I will give him credit for coming to CPAC hat in hand so to speak. He made no demands - smart move.

“We should do this more often. I hope you will pardon my absence last year, and understand that I intended no personal insult to any of you. I was merely pre-occupied with the business of trying to escape the distinction of pre-season frontrunner for the Republican nomination, which, I’m sure some of you observed, I managed to do in fairly short order. But, now, I again have the privilege of that distinction, and this time I would prefer to hold on to it for a while.”

That nmakes NO sense at all - he only showed up this time because he had to.

Those are the same old lies McCain has been using in Arizona to get elected all these years.

I know...I remember them all too well. Which is why I'll never believe a lying word from that liberal's mouth.

He only pays attention to conservatives when he needs them. As soon as the election is over, McCain will be back to business as usual, spitting in our face.

What’s truly sad is the fact that John McCain had to give this kind of speech at CPAC.

John McCain could have said something sincere like, “I was wrong about some things.”

He’s going to have to do a helluva lot more than this to earn my vote.

As inspirational as paint drying. Oh the monotone, doesn’t it just reach out and grab you?

Maverick is my name, maverick voting is my game. Ok who wants the start the bidding for my vote, all parties are welcome to bid. Gotta say it hasn't worked out so good in the past as a one party voter, so I am now an independent MAVERICK voter. Key Rawhide theme song now ...

Betting game choose the date of the first time a drive by says McCain is too old, out of touch. Place your bets right here ...

It was painful listening to him. He said what he needed to say to get the Conservative vote. If there are “conservatives” voting for him, they aren’t true conservatives. I was unable to see him in person, because the seats were full, so I sat in an overflow room - most of the people were silent throughout his speech. I’m writing in.

Havent seen it yet but my CEO said he listened with open ears and thought he did well and established the differences between his agenda and the lefts. I am one that cant stand the man for what he’s done to conservatives but im willing to swallow the bile and listen. I believe he will give away America, like the rest of them but I will listen and then go inside myself for 9 months and then decide.

With McCain the recognized if not actually winner, you’re right. It’s only a matter of moments now.

Poor John. Once his ass is grass this year, even the talking head shows won’t want this deconstrutionist “Darling” any longer.

Ah yes, is George Steponallofus in. Who’s calling please? Ah, this is John, John McCain. Just a moment please. I’m sorry Mr. McCain, George is in a meeting... can I take a message for the round file?
