He’s saying the right things; but, my question is: Has he ever lied about a position? IIRC, when he’s “gone off the reservation”, he’s said that he would. I’m asking this because I really don’t know. Has he ever espoused a position and then gone back on his word? Or does he say “I’m gonna screw you on this issue” and then proceed to do so?

That’s the one thought that keeps niggling in the back of my mind. He does say he’s going to ram it up you when he does. I’ve been trying to remember when he hasn’t and can’t come up with any. I’m hoping others weigh in.

The deal with the Republican party is you must also first be a Republican and that necessarily means opposing human slavery in every shape and form it may take.

It's an ideal that's kept us together since the election of Abraham Lincoln.

McCain is a bit soft on that question. He's already signed his name to legislation submitted in the Senate that would create a permanent underclass, peons let's call them, in the United States.

That simply cannot be forgiven.
