I understand your anger, but your anger is better directed at the non-conservative majority in the GOP than at conservative Freepers. If Freepers had as much influence as you say, Hunter and Thompson would be left fighting for the nomination, not McCain and Huckabee
I've come to the sad realization that McCain is not a RINO. Before the flame throwers come out, listen to my explanation. How can somebody be a Republican In Name Only if the majority of the party is willing to vote for him? I would argure that I and the vast majority of Freepers are the real RINOS because we are conservatives. Conservatives are a small and decreasing minority in the GOP. The GOP is on the downslope toward being a slightly less liberal party than the 'rat party.
What has caused this sad state of affairs? It's not the good conservative majority Freepers. It's the non-conservative majority of the GOP willing to accept open borders, high taxes, huge nanny-state government, abortion, out-of-control goverment spending and First and Second Amendment infringements just so the guy who gets the presidency has an "R" instead of a "D" after his name.
There, I feel better now!

You should feel better, that was one heckuva great post!! You summed up what I and a lot of others feel. Maybe Conservatives are the true RINOs these days, if the mainstream Republicans are liberal.

Excellant point. So where do we go from here besides withdrawing from the GOP?? How does one go about starting a third party? There are alot of good minds here. Lets think about this seriously.
After my own ranting and raving with McInsane and also the WVA situation, I had to laugh...We've been played for so long by the media whores and the GOP who dont care about us anymore.. I decided to vote for whoever would screw things up for that same group the most.. and I found my smile again.
Maybe we should register our protest in Nov, by writing in NONE OF THE ABOVE..?
