I know there's great disappointment over the apparent Republican nominee. But, before our tantrum becomes dangerous, let's remember the significant differences between Hillary (who will be the Presidential nominee) and John McCain:
She will raise taxes, he will not
She is pro abortion, he is not
She is for cut and run in Iraq, he is not
She wants to socialize medicine, he does not
She wants to add hundreds and hundreds of billions in new spending, he will not,
She wants to "fix" social security by raising taxes, he wants personal accounts
She is for appeasement with Iran, he is not
She will appoint Ginsbergs and Stevens, he will at the very least appoint more Roberts.
Problems with your list. McCain voted against Bush's tax cuts and against making them permanent. He didn't like Alito because he was "too conservative". I haven't heard him say squat about reigning in spending. He gets a C- rating from the GOA and his ACU ratings have been dropping like a stone since he started making his Leftward run for the Presidency.
No thanks...
