Let me make it perfectly clear. Reagan was a great president. But, just because you worked for Reagan doesn’t mean you are a good Republican or a good conservative.

These people are all Party people and the brass are calling in big favors to all the establishment Party people. It’s just the way the game is played. Everybody will rally round McCain. That moron is going to play a Reagan video before his speech this weekend. Can you believe the audacity. Mccainiac has screwed the GOP and conservative for the last 6-7 years - but it’s heavy duty politics.

Me? LOL, I’ll vote straight GOP ticket for any conservatives and John McCain can flounder on the deck like a fish. That’s what he deserves after how he backstabbed so many Republicans. >..Opposed the Bush tax cuts, amnesty...blahblah and 10 other things I’m tired of listing.

Well, I will stop laughing long enough to take special note of this: McCain knows what the Founders and Reagan knew; the ultimate goodness and dignity of American citizens is the repository of what makes America great and special.

Reagan actually did know Americans and he believed this. McCain has nothing but contempt for us (and for anyone who doesn't agree with him even if they are in the exaulted political class, so we don't have to feel too bad). He demonstrated that irrevocably with his attempt to shove his immigration reform bill down our throats because we were too bigoted and selfish as humans.

Ludicrous.

Reagan challenged his party from the right. McCain clearly is doing so from the left.

End of story. It’s like comparing Washington to Lenin because they both prosecuted revolutions.

What else choice is there? Romney is more liberal than McCain based on his records and his recent statements/panderings

“Why do I feel like destroying the Republican party and rebuilding a new without the dead weight of RINOs?”

Because it’s the right thing to do, whether it’s a new party or a reconstruction of the same party.

Don’t feel guilty, they asked for it, and they are accomplishing it all by themselves by nominating that McCain traitor to conservatism.

Stuff is BS. Here is my problem. I do not like McNut. But if we should even up the Senate, the VP will be the tie breaker. You can be sure that Hitlery or OOBBAAMMAAA will not select a conservative Republican as VP. So, It might be that McNut might select Thompson or Hunter. If so I will be forced to vote the the worst candidate in history, McNut. Damn it hurts to say that. But if he chooses Huckster, no go since I believe he would never agree to give his vote to the most important items, Iraq war and illegals.

Why? Simple - the GOP has left its Constitutional Conservative principles of limited government to embrace the same principles as the Democrats - "acquisition and maintenance of power at any cost - principles be damned!"

George Washington warned us about political parties. We didn't listen.

Hopefully a change is going to come. But there will be much pain in the process and quite frankly I am not sure "the Republic" will look like the republic as envisioned by our founding fathers for quite some time.

There has to be sea change of how the electorate thinks. I am not sure that is any longer possible.

Just read your rant. Now is not the time to spout this crap. Romney would probably pick a conservative Republican as VP. The VP is the tie breaker for the Senate. Think!

That wasn’t the point of my comment at all. It was that it is ludicrous to compare Reagan to McCain simply because they are/were “Mavericks.” Reagan challenged from the right; McCain is doing so from the left. Whether or not one believes Romney to be even further left is beside the point I was making.

This is pure bull szh8t! Ronald Reagan loved the American people and wasn't afraid tosay so. McCain has nothing but contempt for us and especially conservatives. Any favorable comparision of John McCain is a lie.

Oh well the news isn't all bad. maybe Romney can stay in long enough to move McCain on his global warming bs and maybe force a conservative running mate on him. After all McCain is 72 years old and in poor health. And no...I won't apologize for that.
