I’ll give them the answer now. There is no “time travel” and there will never be, and there never was. It is impossible. never happen. Waste of money and energy.
It’s about causality. We live in a world where one event causes another. The caused event comes after the causing event. Can’t be any other way.

he’s sitting in the middle of interstellar space.

That's why it takes so long for the Galactica to compute a jump solution!

"...IF that was the case, you couldn't go further back than the time in which the machine was first assembled. I dunno, made sense at the time...."

Mebbe they could make a bigger time machine and transport the smaller one along with them? You know... just in case?

1.21 gigawatts of electricity: Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd in the De Lorean time machine from Back to the Future

How believable could this be - everyone knows you need 1.21 jigawatts...

Always the posers ... Jesus opened a new dimensional aspect/category/reality of the universe. We ignore the implications of same because we want to believe something different. The spacetime aspects in which we exist are so delicately balanced, if God superceded those parameters to perform miracles, the entire system would collapse. God performs miracles by utilizing an entirely different spacetime than we sense. [See Daniel 5]

If their premise is true about how time travel is only possible back to the point of creation of the first time machine, why would anybody want to open that can of worms? All you’ll have is people from the future coming back to exploit their unique knowledge of events to come.

One would seem to have to expand the entire universe to travel to the future, or to go back in time, to contract it.

Barring some quantum aspect - where even that would seem inconceivable, as the universe is a quantum system after all - convince me that this is possible.

Possible? ... A non sequitur. Time has three variable expressions: past (linear), present(planar), and future (volumetric). All of time now exits simultaneously since volumteric time makes ‘place’ for linear and planar. As a side note for my friends in this where/when, Stan exits in a linear expresion of time hence the universe Jesus opened with the resurrection is completely beyond Satan’s existence. He can no more sense or know the where/when to which Jesus exited in the resurrection tha we can know the where/when from whence the hand reached to write on Belshazzar’s wall.

The debut in early summer could provide a landmark because travelling into the past is only possible - if it is possible at all - as far back as the point of creation of the first time machine.

Well, so says The Telegraph, but I would still like confirmation from an unassailable authority like AP or Reuters. Or Dan Rather.

Jesus exited the tomb without rolling away the stone. Infact, he exited the wrappings of his burial wihtout unwrapping them. He wrote on Belshazzar's wall. No time machine was needed since He was in another where/when.

Consider this: The universe is so delicately balanced as we exist in that if any violation of the balance were to occur, the whole would collapse. God sources miracles in a where/when we are yet to comprehend, but He has not left it totally outside of our clues! Stopping the Jordan River was no where near as astonishing a miracle as changing mere H 2 O into wine.

Hmmmm... Jesus opened/became a "window" in reletivity and string theory, even dimensional reality.. I think you've got something there.. When "God" became flesh and became God again shows expertise with "reality".. God can adjust reality and re-adjust it again.. Kind of makes "physics" a plaything to God dont it?..

What do you know for sure..MHGinTN?...

Thats ONLY lineal time.. Eternity(the eternal) sees all three.. at once.. and maybe transcends time.. making time(thingly)..
