I don't have a position here.
All I am doing is recounting what had been predicted a priori.
Everyone with an IQ greater than a walnut knew that the MSM would build up McCain because they wanted the most liberal possible candidate to come out of the GOP side of things.
So that, with McCain -vs- either Hillary or Obama, they would be guaranteed that a liberal would win in November.
But with McCain, they got a 2-fer: Not only was McCain the most liberal candidate in the GOP race, but, at age 71 [going on 72], and with a highly unstable personality, they knew that McCain would be the easiest GOP candidate to destroy.
So now that McCain has wrapped up the nomination, all of his old "friends" in the MSM will be turning their guns on him, to destroy him - Reid's shot is simply the opening volley.
And all of this is unfolding exactly as everyone predicted that it would unfold.
PS: Is there anyone - ANYONE? - who wants to argue that what Cochran said is FALSE?
