Guess he hasn't read the news about Iraq lately -- as in the last several months.

Re-read it with this line in mind and what I saw was a bunch of "Bush is EVIL, the dollar is EVIL, America's economy is DOOMED without the EVIL dollar tied to oil, the American EMPIRE is EVIL, they MUST be to blame" cr@p.

That said, the underlying point about the dollar being a real currency because it is tied to oil was interesting. In other words, we aren't on a gold standard anymore. We are on an oil standard. Bears some thought...

I didn’t check who wrote it before I started reading - I was beginning to think it was Al Jazeera, or some such, and then I see it’s some idiot in the Northwest...
