This kind of political correctness always backfires.

Presently, there are some "violent murderers" and "criminals" who are not Islamic. But, by dropping the qualifying term, and following UK PC guidelines, it is now IMPLIED that "violent murderer" is a synonym for "Islamic terrorist,"

In the end, any use of the term "murderer" or "terrorist" will mean Islamic -- even if the criminal is not.
